“Whiskey on the rocks” a voice came from down the empty room. The bar man glanced up, cloth in hand, a dusty looking man sat at the far end, head hidden by a wide brimmed hat. As he walked over to fill the glass he noticed the man wore a battered leather coat, the colour indistinguishable in the dimly lit room. The bar man, Sam, considered telling the man it would have to be only the one, that they were closing, he had some important business to deal with later and didn’t want this man getting in the way. I sit and stare at the school. I’m not going anywhere, and you won’t make me. I know they don’t want me here but I don’t care what they want anymore. I want nothing more than to stay here and stare. This is the last time I’ll wait by the school gates.
